Notice of consumers' rights

§ 1 Right of cancellation
You, the consumer, may revoke your declaration of intent to enter into a contract in written form (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail) within two weeks without stating your reasons, or by returning the object. The deadline for doing so begins upon receipt of the merchandise and written instructions informing you of your right of cancellation to be provided to you in text form under separate cover. To comply with the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to dispatch the cancellation or the merchandise within the allotted time. The cancellation notice should be addressed to:

§ 2 Consequences of cancellation
If there is a valid cancellation, there must be restitution by both parties of goods as well as benefits received (e.g. interest, where applicable). Should it be possible to return only part of the goods to us, if they can be returned only in a poorer condition, or if they cannot be returned at all, you must pay us the replacement value, unless physical objects were provided whose deterioration was caused solely by subjecting them to such testing as would have been feasible for you to conduct in a store. In other respects, you may avoid having to pay the replacement value by refraining from making use of the object as an owner would or doing anything that detracts from its value. Objects that can be shipped as parcels should be sent back at our risk. Costs of shipping are to be borne by you if the merchandise delivered was as ordered and the value of the merchandise to be returned does not exceed EUR 40.00, or if the purchased object cost more but you had not remitted payment or partial payment under the terms of the contract as of the date on which the contract was cancelled. Otherwise there is no charge for return shipping. Objects that cannot be shipped in as parcels will be picked up at your address. You must meet your obligations to remit payments within 30 days after dispatching your cancellation notice.

§ 3 Exclusions
The right of cancellation does not apply to sales contracts for long-distance deliveries of goods manufactured specially to the customer’s specifications or clearly tailored to his personal needs or that are by their very nature not suitable for return shipment or could spoil quickly or that have passed their expiration date. This includes, but is not limited to merchandise in the form of studies, reports, or other publications that are individually produced for each customer and that bear imprints, printing, or screen printing or other such measures for the purpose of protecting intellectual property rights (copyright).
