Digital Media are one of the most important future communication channels. Digital Signage has already become an indispensable part of everyday's communication: Whether as Instore-TV in a supermarket, as an advertising medium in train stations and airports or as an ambience medium that provides an augmented experience in a chain restaurant.
Nevertheless: The market is young and still very dynamic.
POPAI, the Global Association for Marketing at-Retail, is therefore conducting an in-depth, independent survey of the global digital signage market at POP / POI (Point of Purchase / Point of Interest). The research is being carried out by GIM, one of the leading market research institutes in Germany, using a thorough four-stage process to collect data from over 1000 insiders and experts from each continent - Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.
This digital signage survey differs in three ways from the myriad of other research reports:
- Global survey with an integrated method and/or approach
- Qualitative research of all process elements, application options, target groups for digital media

Sneak peak into the European results at the POPAI Customer Facing Screen Media Conference in London on November 7, 2007
The Customer Facing Screen Media Conference provides an unparalleled insight into the development of the digital market as well as attitudes from retailers, brands and agencies involved in it.
