The POPAI "Point of Purchase Advertising International" association has been lobbying for the POP interests of industry, trade, POS producers and service providers since its foundation in the US in 1936.
On a global scale, POPAI enables the interdisciplinary information and experience exchange for its 2000 plus members worldwide, of which 700 are in Europe. As a global non-profit organization, POPAI sees their role today as the competence center and the comprehensive communication platform for "marketing at retail".

By founding their own office in Germany, the market requirements were accommodated and a communication platform for manufacturers of branded goods, retailers, sales promotion agencies and producers of advertising media for the POP was created.

The common denominator is "marketing at retail"! This global association is a meeting point for companies from all different industries dealing in marketing at retail. This covers the spectrum from consumer goods companies to retailers all the way to the POP industry, agencies, media at retail and digital network providers, to website advertisers roaming the virtual space. This heterogeneity is unique in associations and allows for a cross-industry exchange of knowledge, information and networking opportunities.

Education and training, accompanying the globalization of our members, using and exploring the POS technologies, representing interests and particularly exploring the effect of POS marketing are the pillars of POPAI's goal.
